Bechuanaland Flag Althis by lamnay Bechuanaland Flag Althis by lamnay
In this world the Bechuanaland Protectorate never had it's own flag, using the Union Jack until 1966 when it became independent as Botswana. For the Red and the Grey timeline I took the rather nice Botswana coat-of-arms and put it in a light blue ensign.

Nope, it's completely landlocked.

Ah well. I only ask because I'd like to see a version of this flag with a red background, but they were more commonly used as naval flags by this point...

Well it varied, the Canadian Navy used a Blue Ensign, as the the South African and Indian Navies.

I used this colour because it's a bit like the real national flag.
